Memory and Food

How food and exercise can affect your ability to remember and recall memories.

Memory and Food

Can they help improve your memory?

  • Physical exercise has been shown to improve memory and mental function as it promotes a growth factor which plays a critical factor in the function and survival of brain neurons. Studies on rats have shown that the growth factor, brain derived neurotrophic factor increased in those given the opportunity to exercise.
  • Avoid heavy meals which are hard to digest as they divert blood from the brain and create grogginess.
  • Ensure that you get enough sleep.
