Rehabilitation Programs In Jail

I believe that they are beneficial as behaviour can be modified as it is usually learnt from a past experience and our environment. As you can tell i am more on the nurture side of the debate. Studies show that CBT has proven to be quit a successful rehab program in new zealand. Which type of conditioning does this involve?
Could someone tell me their thoughts on the issue?
ALso i wanted to use the stanford prison experiment as an example of why behaviour is mainly influenced by the environment or does a feral child case make a better argument?
thankyou for any insight or help you could give...
